Itinerary: The ship debuts in August with Carnival's first European sailings: a 12-day Scandinavian voyage, followed by a 15-day transatlantic crossing. Following these voyages, the ship offers 2- and 3-day cruises-to-nowhere from New York, a series of fall foliage sailings, plus Bermuda sailings from Philadelphia and Baltimore in October, and 8-day “exotic” Caribbean cruises from Miami beginning November.

Overview: Carnival Legend, the third in the line's highly successful "Spirit-class" series, will offer a wide variety of dining options and entertainment venues, with interiors inspired by some of the world's most famous legends and historical figures.

The ship will feature 16 bars, lounges and nightspots, a duty-free shopping mall, a 13,700-square-foot health spa, an Internet cafe, an expansive casino, a 2,400-square-foot children's play area, four swimming pools and a cascading water slide.

Dining options will include a two-level formal restaurant, a "steakhouse-style" supper club serving aged beef and other upscale cuisine, and a casual poolside eatery featuring breakfast, lunch and dinner alternatives, Asian and American specialty areas and 24-hour pizza and ice cream/frozen yogurt. A patisserie and complimentary 24-hour stateroom service are also available. All of these options comprise Carnival's Total Choice Dining(SM), cruising's most comprehensive dining program offering the widest variety of formal and casual options at sea.

Additionally, 80 percent of the ship's 1,062 staterooms will feature a sitting area and ocean view, with 80 percent of those offering private verandahs. Several levels of deluxe accommodations will be featured, as well.
