Bangkok Thailand is Beautiful
Last year I was lucky enough to go on a trip to Bangkok Thailand. The experience was all that I’d hoped it to be. My prior idea of the country was verified - it is green, busy, slow paced and wonderfully friendly.
The new movie coming out called Bangkok Dangerous brought Bangkok to mind again because it includes a scene in the floating markets. It’s like in the tourist brochures. Unique, warm and colorful. Unlike the movie name, you will feel safe traveling there.
The ride to the floating gardens was actually the best part of that visit. So make sure you take a boat and not a car to get there.

For a tour to the floating gardens we suggest viator. You’ll find trips to the Grand Palace, Wat Phra Kaew, a Rice Barge Cruise plus the temples & ruins of Ayutthaya (also interesting - been there and enjoyed them). Thailand is not a very expensive country in which to travel, even for Americans.
